Star Struck Style

January 10 is Janelle Pierzina’s birthday.

Janelle Pierzina is my all-time favorite “Big Brother” contestant. I like my reality stars just like her: smart, competitive, hilarious and aware that they are a part of something bigger than themselves. I don’t want to root for someone who looks like they just wandered in off the street. I want to get behind the person who not only knows the game, but who also wants to crush the competition and rub it in their faces. I’m a huge gloater when I win, and I see nothing wrong with that. Humility is for nuns.

Janelle never won “Big Brother,” but she came close a couple of times. No one wanted to sit next to her at the finale because of the respect that she commanded from her housemates. I wasn’t surprised to see that she has a Libra moon. I have a Libra ascendant, and the sign endows me with a sense of diplomacy when I need to be diplomatic. Janelle was also a diplomat in her more-successful seasons, patiently arguing why she should remain in the house when she was obviously the one to beat. The other contestants finally got a clue and kicked her out early in the “coaches” season before she could work her magic on them.

I’ve always wanted to be on “Big Brother.” I’ve applied for “Big Brother Canada” a couple of times, but I couldn’t get past the initial interview. The second time I applied, the entire group in my casting session voted me as the one to get out first because they saw me as their greatest competition. But if I was able to get into the house, I believe that I would be able to work some Janelle-like magic on the house guests. Like her, I’m smart, competitive and hilarious. I don’t think they’d stand a chance.
