At any given moment, I’m addicted to whatever version of “The Real Housewives” is on TV. While I can live without a few of them, I can’t get enough of “Atlanta,” “Beverly Hills,” and “New York City.” I also have high hopes for “Dallas” because there are actually a few women I like to watch amongst the cast. LeeAnne Locken isn’t one of them.
After last night’s episode, I Googled her name to see if I could find out her zodiac sign. If I am to believe what I’ve read, she’s a Gemini. Go figure! Another one for the records!
I’m always quick to point out that Donald Trump is a textbook Gemini. So is Kanye West. The Olsen twins are also born under the sign of the twins. I like to describe Gemini individuals as two sides of the same coin, spinning on its edge so quickly that you can’t figure out which one you’re looking at. All of the people I’ve mentioned match that description perfectly, including LeeAnne Locken.
Gemini women are a rarity on these shows. Taylor Armstrong and Eileen Davidson on “Beverly Hills” are the only two who come to mind. Taylor was a nightmare to watch because she was such a needy mess. I adore Eileen because I’m a soap fan, but I will understand if she’s not back next season (there are whispers on the fan forums). She isn’t desperate enough to be a good housewife. I suppose that’s because she was a star before the Bravo network even existed.
LeeAnne, on the other hand, craves the spotlight like Kanye craves the spotlight. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you came from or even how much genuine talent you possess — when you’re desperate for attention, you’re desperate for attention. Gemini natives don’t necessarily share that in common, but they do share something else: a mouth that can get them into trouble. They’re great at apologizing for what they’ve said because they’ve had so much practice at it.
It will be interesting to see how LeeAnne defends her behavior during the “Dallas” reunion show. Will she be contrite, or will she go around in circles defending herself? If Kanye West has taught us anything, it’s that.
