I was just looking ahead to tomorrow’s ingress of Jupiter into my tenth house. The planet of abundance and opportunities briefly visited that part of my chart last fall for a few weeks, but then it quickly moved back into my ninth house. This time around it will remain in my tenth house for about fourteen months.

Of course, my thoughts turn to my career when I think of the house of the horoscope that is associated with my Capricorn sun sign. I’ve been underemployed for several months now. However, I’m enjoying working less, and I’m not suffering financially just yet. I would like to make more money, though, and I’d also like to feel a greater sense of satisfaction with the job (or jobs) that I’m performing. As a Capricorn, getting credit where credit is due is important to me.

For that reason, I need to start thinking of this new cycle as a chance to enhance my public image. I typically look to the first house and the fifth house when I consider the concept of “self-image,” because both of those houses have a strong connection to the image we craft by virtue of our appearance. Yet it’s these fortunate ingresses through the tenth house that get you noticed for your professional accomplishments and your overall capabilities. It is where your public image and your professional image become the same thing.

Hopefully, that means that better things are just around the corner for me. I want someone to notice me for what I can bring to the workplace. I’ve had very few jobs over the course of a lifetime because everyone always wants more of me once I’ve been hired.

Anyway, I’m going to work on ensuring that I’m giving off the image that I want everyone to see over the next several months. I want my competence, my confidence, and my charisma to be the first things that people notice when I walk into a room. Obviously, my CV isn’t going to get me a job when I’m competing with people who lie shamelessly about their own credentials, and HR departments who don’t bother to vett their candidates. But I do have a big personality and the magnetism to open some doors that have been previously closed to me. I just have to get face-to-face with potential employers.

So, that’s what I’m going to. And unlike the guy in the photo I posted above, I’m not going to ruin my carefully-constructed public image by inexplicably declaring my support for Donald Trump. What the fuck was that about?
