Today is a fortunate day for me because I have transiting Mars forming a trine with my natal Saturn. It’s a good time for me to get into my garden again as I attempt to put it away for the winter. All the work I do now will save me a lot of trouble in six months from now when spring arrives in this part of the world. My daily horoscope on astro.com describes the aspect as follows:
“This influence confers patience and willingness to do difficult and exacting work. Therefore, this is a good time to do any work that you have to keep on plugging at, even though it isn’t rewarding. If this influence comes during a period that is otherwise difficult, it guarantees that for the moment at least you will be able to cope with your situation, no matter how difficult it becomes. Intellectual or physical work that requires perseverance and great attention to detail is favored by this influence. Also, this influence will help you get to know yourself better. The close attention to detail that characterizes your way of seeing now will help you see yourself and your own reactions very clearly.”
I need to be distracted right now because I feel as if life is going to come at me hard over the next week or so; I’ve been predicting major changes in my universe for quite some time. Those changes start today as the sun conjoins my ascendant and enters my first house later this morning. Late this evening, transiting Venus enters my twelfth house. Tomorrow morning, transiting Mars enters my second house. This coming Tuesday, transiting Jupiter conjoins my MC and enters my tenth house. The following day, transiting Mercury enters my second house. And on Thursday, retrograde Saturn moves back into my fifth house. Literally, every “traditional” planet in my chart switches houses over the next seven days.
I can barely wrap my head around all those changes, so instead of trying to do that, I’m just going to take the advice provided in my horoscope as keep plugging away at my fall gardening clean-up. There’s no point in getting ahead of myself with so many changes on the horizon. In a week from now, it’s likely that I’ll get out of bed with a very different perspective on what I need to do flourish in this new and exciting season of my life.
So, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some yardwork to do. I can thank my lucky stars that Mars is cooperating with me on a day that I need it to cooperate!
