Cinco de Mayo (source: pexels.com)

A couple of weeks ago, I published a post about how much I like Light Jacket Day. Today is another one of my favorite holidays: Cinco de Mayo.

I have no reason to celebrate this Mexican holiday, but it occurs on the day that the sun forms a trine to my natal sun. In a few days from now, the sun will also form harmonious aspects to my natal Pluto/Chiron opposition and my natal Uranus. It’s just a good time of year for me.

I don’t know what I’m going to do to celebrate this holiday. I’d like to go for half-price nachos at the casino near my house, but I’m afraid to lose my shirt with Jupiter about to conjoin my natal Jupiter. I typically believe that a big windfall is right around the corner when Jupiter is whispering in my ear. Also, after I posted about my problems with my body image yesterday, I resolved to be more diligent about my diet and exercise regimen. This time of year I can really make some progress because it’s not only easy for me to be active, but it’s also easy for me to eat the kind of food that keeps me from gaining weight. Fresh, healthy choices are more-readily available in this part of the world for the next few months. Between the time the that Taurus sun trines my Capricorn sun, and the time that the Virgo sun forms the same aspect, I generally don’t have to work as hard to get leaner.

On that note, I’ve got some Mexican avocados sitting on my counter that are ripe and ready to eat. They probably won’t last until Seis de Mayo . . .
