Sleeping Cat (source: Sleep Foundation)

For as long as I can remember, I’ve slept a little less in summer than I do at other times of the year. I’m pretty much an eight-hours-a-night guy, except in summertime I need a little less sleep. Until recently, that is.

I’ve had a few nights over the last couple of months where I’ve slept for ten hours. Sleeping for nine hours is extremely unusual for me, so I’m not sure what’s going on. I had a look at my chart to see if anything made me believe that there might be an astrological explanation for this strange phenomenon, but I’m not really sure what I’m looking for. The only lingering aspect in my horoscope that might explain why I’m enjoying laying in bed is transiting Saturn’s square to my natal Neptune.

That’s something that I share with everyone in my generation, so I’m curious if anyone else around my age is feeling as if they need to recharge their batteries a little more often lately. I’ve got plenty of energy otherwise. It’s just that I’m enjoying getting more sleep in a way that I typically do not when the days are long and the weather is warm.

Is anyone else spending more time in bed this summer, or is it just me? Let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media pages.
