Jupiter (source: Mythopedia)

Jupiter moves into my sixth house in about a week.

I didn’t really get much out of Jupiter’s transit through my fifth house. Jupiter isn’t personalized in my horoscope. Even though it resides in my ninth house (a place where it’s power should be enhanced), it is also situated in its detriment in Gemini. While I often get excited to see the planet moving from house to house or forming favorable aspects to my natal planets, its influence typically mirrors the nature of the gaseous giant itself: the promises it makes to me are typically full of hot air.

Nevertheless, there is something about the sixth house and sixth house matters in general that resonates with me. For that reason, I’m feeling good about what this year-long transit will bring — especially in light of all the other career-related changes that are simultaneously occurring in my horoscope. “Café Astrology” offers the following advice regarding Jupiter’s ingress into this part of my chart:

“During this cycle, you are likely to see benefits in the areas of work and health, as well as daily routines. You find much joy in your work, self-improvement endeavors, and taking care of your health. This transit enhances your ability to handle the details required to do a good job, and others become more aware of your skills.

Benefits may come through co-workers or employees during this cycle. Any type of service that you may provide is likely to go well. You are more successful in hiring people to work for you, if applicable, and improvements to your working environment are likely. You find more enjoyment in the work you do, and it is easier than usual to find employment now. You may get a new job during this cycle, or significantly improve an existing one. Work tends to be very available to you. Menial tasks tend to take priority, but you are likely to enjoy doing them.

The best way to handle this transit is to take pride in and recognize your usefulness — this is bound to give you a great deal of joy, and you are likely to be rewarded as a result.

As well, the more integrity and honesty you bring to your services, the more ‘payback’ you will receive. Health is likely to prosper this year, and medical procedures or programs, if necessary, are more apt to be successful. There may be an inclination to put on some weight, however, if you don’t watch your sweet tooth. Some people get a new pet during this cycle.”

I doubt that I’ll put on weight while Jupiter is moving through my sixth house because I’m an exercise addict already. Unless another pandemic-related lockdown occurs in the middle of winter, I’m pretty sure that my fitness routine will keep me from packing on the pounds. I’m also pretty sure that I won’t get another pet because I’ve already got three cats. However, the rest of this prediction intrigues me because of what it says about improving an existing job. After I published my post yesterday about the progressed moon’s ingress into my tenth house, I went to work where my boss wrote me a note that mentioned how she was advocating to get me more money. Honestly, that could change everything about the way I feel about my current position.

Anyway, this all bodes well for me. I just hope that I feel Jupiter’s influence in my sixth house more than I felt it in my fifth house. On the other hand, I did feel relieved when the planet left my overcrowded fourth house a while ago. Maybe I should just count my lucky stars and take that as a win . . .
