After declaring that I wasn’t going to be laid off again a couple of days ago, I found out that I’m going to be laid off again. The gym where I work crunched the numbers and decided that remaining open under the current government restrictions would be unfeasible.
This is the third time I’ve been laid off in the last thirteen months. However, this time I’m not worried about anything. I get my first vaccine shot in five days from now. I don’t really need to be anywhere for now, so I’m not concerned about contracting the UK variant of COVID-19 that is running amok in Canada. I’m also kind of thrilled to have this time of the year to get my garden in shape for the upcoming growing season.
Before the month is over, the sun, Mercury and Venus will all enter Taurus. Mars moves into Cancer shortly afterwards, too. Those are great places for the inner planets to be when I’ve got gardening on my mind.
So, I’m just going thank my lucky stars that I’ve got a roof over my head and enough body fat to live off for a long time in the event that I can’t afford groceries. I’ve also got the stars on my side, unlike the last two times I was out of work.
Everything is going to be all right . . .
