Star Struck Style

The new moon in Gemini arrives in a couple of hours and I can’t wait for it to get here! The current cosmic climate already has me eager to break free from my COVID-19 quarantine and the somewhat relaxed social-distancing measures imposed by the province where I reside. I’m going to the mall!

Of course, I’ve got a nice mask to wear and I’ll be sure to observe any other safety protocols necessary to ensuring my health. I’m not planning to go full-on Naomi Campbell with my precautions, but I don’t blame anyone if they don’t feel safe in public places. Where I live, the breakouts have been mostly confined to meat-packing plants and assisted-living facilities. I think I’ll be okay.

I know that a lot of astrologers connect the concept of freedom with the sign of Sagittarius; I do, too. But I also connect the signs in opposing pairs more than many of my star-gazing counterparts. I think of the Gemini/Sagittarius pairing as the “freedom axis,” with Gemini associated with personal freedom and Sagittarius associated with a broader concept of freedom.

So, I would expect a lot of people to be in a similar mood with the arrival of the new moon, and the conjunction of Mercury and Venus in Gemini that occurred early this morning. Also, the sun and Saturn form a trine today. That should mean that the current restrictions won’t seem so troublesome for most of us.

Anyway, it’s a good day to be vocal, sociable and on-the-go. If you can’t do that, stay home so that the rest of us can have some fun.
