I’m back from Las Vegas! I actually got home on Thursday, but it took me a day to pull myself together after spending the previous five days in Sin City.

Anyway, I’m glad to be back home. I’m pretty much a creature of habit and I’m eager to get back into a routine, although I have been craving the changes that normally come to my routine once the weather warms up in this part of the world. We just were subjected to the fifth-coldest February on record, so spring can’t get here soon enough.

I have noticed that the sun is shining in my face again when I sit at the computer to write this blog. That will change tomorrow when the clocks spring forward and sunrise arrives an hour later. I can deal with that. I’m an early riser, so the time change doesn’t really mess me up. In fact, I’m a big fan of Daylight Savings Time because the robins start singing at sunrise in this part of the world. If it weren’t for the change, they would be waking me up at 3:00 AM instead of 4:00 AM.

I don’t know if there is anything in a natal chart that would indicate the capacity to adapt to time changes. I know that Las Vegas was only an hour different from my local time, so adapting to that shift wasn’t much of a challenge for me. However, some people can’t handle a change of an hour one way or the other. To me it seems odd, but I also don’t understand how many people can get by without eight hours of sleep every night. Sleep deprivation turns me into an idiot during the waking hours.

I suppose that we all have a natural “rhythm.” I’ve just never seen that rhythm discussed in an astrological context. I assume that there are probably sixth house correspondences to sleep because the sixth house rules over plenty of mundane matters, but I could be wrong. Maybe Circadian rhythms are influenced by the fourth and fifth houses because those houses are ruled by the moon and the sun. Who knows?

Maybe you do! I’d love to learn more about the effect of the planets on sleep habits. Drop me a line in the comments section or on one of my social media sites to let me know.
