Star Struck Style

February 8 is Kansai Yamamoto’s birthday.

In “Star Struck Style” I briefly discuss Kansai Yamamoto as an example of the signature style of his zodiac sign, Aquarius. That style is “weird.”

You can fit a lot of designers into that “weird” box, and I do. I also put Jonathan Anderson, Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou there. Only Katrantzou is an Aquarius, like Kansai Yamamoto.

I actually discuss three distinct paths that Aquarius natives tend to follow while expressing themselves through fashion. It’s a little more difficult to explain Aquarius style than it is to explain any of the other signs because Aquarius is a weak position for the sun. As a result, other influences come into play more readily than they do with most other sun positions.
