December 3 is Bette Franke’s birthday.
Bette Franke is one of those now-you-see-her, now-you-don’t models. She’ll be everywhere one day, and then she will disappear the next. There are plenty of models like that in the business. They are discovered when they are just kids and thrown onto the runways by agencies eager to create buzz around the newcomers. After a few seasons, many of these girls either burn out or choose to pursue an education. You don’t see them for a while, and then suddenly there they are again.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat. But its not only education that lures them away from a lucrative modeling career. Sometimes it’s travel. Sometimes it’s boys. Sometimes these girls come back after getting married or having a kid. Sometimes they do both. I can name a bunch of Sagittarius models who have slipped in and out of the business numerous times, including a few genuine legends in the business. Kristen McMenamy is a Sagittarius. So is Bridget Hall. So is Stella Tennant. So is Lara Stone.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Bette Franke is a Sagittarius, just as I shouldn’t be surprised to see her stomping down a runway after I haven’t seen her for a year or two. It’s in her nature to do a lot of different things. That’s what Sagittarius natives do.
