I was just looking ahead to the new moon in Aries when I realized just how many planets will be in the sign of the ram at the same time. The sun, the moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Chiron will all occupy a 25° wedge of the zodiac on April 17.

The new moon itself is conjunct Chiron by less than a degree at about 27° Aries. It occurs in my seventh house, while the other planets mentioned will still be in my sixth house from about 2° Aries to 7° Aries. I’ve spent the last few weeks focused on my health and wellness because of my recent surgery, and I really don’t expect that to change once the sun moves into my seventh house tomorrow morning. What might change is my willingness to share my wellness journey with others. I’ve been quite impressed with myself during my recovery, and I’m eager to get back to the gym to lead the fitness classes that I’ve been teaching for the last four decades.

For a long time, I’ve been fascinated by Chiron and what seems to be a connection between the asteroid and my physical well-being. Yet I don’t really come across a lot of other astrologers discussing the relationship between Chiron and physical health. Almost everything I read is related to figurative “wounds” and psychological health. Nevertheless, it seem as if every time I deal with a major health issue, Chiron is highlighted in my horoscope. It’s quite uncanny.

Anyway, I’ve got Mercury conjunct my natal Chiron today as I’m writing this post. I’ve also got a dentist appointment in a couple of hours. After that, I’ve already resolved to start testing my own physical limitations because I feel like I’ve fully recovered from my hernia surgery. I’m ready to start doing some of the things that I’ve had to put off. However, with this Aries new moon conjunct Chiron on the horizon, I believe the stars are telling me not to be so headstrong. I need to balance my need to get back to my energetic self with the fact that I still have a wound healing deep in my abdomen. I need to cultivate the patience of my Capricorn sun and Libra rising sign while dealing with the Aries impulse to push ahead without fully considering the consequences.

So, that’s what I’m going to do. After the new moon arrives on April 17, it’s full speed ahead. Until then, I need to let nature take its course. Soon . . .
