I published this post last year on this day. Since that time, I’ve referred back to it several times on this blog. This energy defined the last twelve months, and it will continue to linger in the atmosphere for the next few weeks.

Nevertheless, today is the day when things start to change. The sun enters Aries this morning. Over the next few days, it will cross over the point where the Saturn/Neptune conjunction occurred, illuminating the notion of the “false start” and making it the big story of 2026. I can’t help but thinking that the current war against Iran will take on another shape or form over the next few days. Who knows what Donald Trump will do because he’s fucking insane. I wrote the following passage a year ago, and it could definitely apply to this exact situation today:

“People are going to dive headfirst into projects, and then suddenly back off. They are going to be bold and energetic as they embrace the unknown, and then they are going shrink back into themselves at the first sign of conflict. It’s going to be annoying, especially as many of the individuals influenced by the current cosmic climate will simultaneously portray themselves as both the aggressor and the victim.”

At any rate, no one with a functioning brain is really buying what Trump is selling at the moment. Still, I’m not exactly sure where all of this is going. Jupiter just went direct. Mercury goes direct today, too. Mars is about to move into Aries and will pass over the degree where the Saturn/Neptune conjunction occurred in the second week of April. On top of all of that, Uranus makes a shift into Gemini in late April, too. There is not only the potential for a few more false starts over the next five weeks or so, but also the potential for outright disqualifications, cancelled events, and perhaps even entirely different competitors suddenly entering the race.

Honestly, I can’t wait for it to be over. It’s been a long year . . .
