This is a post that I published eight years ago. I not only feel like I’m in a similar place today, but I’ve also experienced some serious déjà vu recently that has taken me back to an actual moment that I described in this post. It makes me feel as if I’m on the cusp of a big change. Venus opposes my ascendant and enters my seventh house tomorrow, so maybe I need to be on the lookout for the start of a relationship that somehow changes my life. After I left the job interview I described in this post back in 2018, I ran into an old friend who actually gave me a job. Perhaps something like that will happen again. The universe works in mysterious ways!
Venus entered my seventh house this morning where it will remain until April 10.
Right now, Venus is in its detriment in Aries. Soon, it will shift into Taurus where it is dignified. It also behaves quite well in the seventh house because of its association with Libra.
This should help me in my job hunt. I had an interview last week that lasted a while — a good sign. The interesting thing about the interview was that I admitted to the interviewer how easy it is for people to take advantage of me. I have a terrible time saying “No!” to people. In the past, I have allowed others to prey upon my goodwill.
I’ve never been an uncooperative person, although some people would describe me that way because I do stand my ground when they make terrible decisions that affect my well-being. I could never work for someone like Donald Trump because I would spend my time screaming “I told you that is what would happen if you didn’t listen to me!” However, I can be a pushover when people appeal to my desire for peace and harmony. When they say “This will be great for all of us!”, I sometimes agree without critically evaluating the situation. When I finally realize that I am shouldering all the responsibility for someone else, it’s too late. My sense of duty doesn’t allow me to quit, even though I know I’m being used.
It’s a recurring theme in my life. Nevertheless, it’s something that I’ve recognized in myself. It hasn’t stopped me from volunteering for organizations that do good in the world, but it has made me less of a pushover when people attempt to use me to further their own agendas.
I should probably be more like the goat in the photo above and cultivate my Capricorn-like ambition. Unfortunately, I know I’m more like the monkey grooming the goat. That monkey probably shares my Libra rising sign, and will defer to anyone who makes it feel safe and secure.
Oh well! I don’t believe that fault in my character makes me unhappy, so I’m not too eager to change my modus operandi. Still, it would be great to find a job where I am appreciated for the way I bring harmony to situations. This shift in my chart bodes well for me. Sometime soon, someone will recognize just what I can bring to a reciprocal relationship.
