Transiting Venus squares my natal Jupiter very early tomorrow morning.
This alignment makes me want to shop. I honestly need nothing at all, but I can’t stop myself from visiting the websites of retailers I frequent. For instance, I had some white sneakers in my shopping cart on the Bally website for a few minutes before I came to my senses and removed them. I already have a pair of white Canali sneakers in my closet that I haven’t even worn yet. I bought them for my birthday in January, and I’ve been waiting for winter to be over before I wear them out. Purchasing another pair would have been ridiculous. I’m glad I regained my composure before it was too late. I can’t afford to buy everything I see.
On the bright side, I’ll have absolutely no credit card debt to worry about next week once my tax refund arrives. I have no major purchases planned in the month ahead, either, and I even have a little money saved up to get me through the week of my surgery without having to worry about missing a week of work. Things are actually pretty good in my own little world.
“Pretty good” could describe almost any alignment between Venus and Jupiter — even the bad ones, like squares and oppositions. Venus is “pretty” and Jupiter is “good.” Together they get me into trouble because they make me believe that everything is going to work out in my favor. However, I tend reserve my worst, most-decadent behavior for those moments when they form positive aspects to one another, especially conjunctions. I’ve not only learned that lesson while shopping, but also at the casino. For some reason, I’m able to exercise some self-control when these so-called “benefic” planets form squares and oppositions.
I’m grateful that I know this about myself. I need to stay out of trouble for a while. If I do, I can enjoy working a little less over the summer when enjoying my time outdoors is not only good for my soul, but also relatively inexpensive.
How do these two planets operate in your chart? Do they bring out your decadent side when they supposedly “harmonize.” Let me know in the comments section or on one of my social media pages. I’d love to hear from you.
