Star Struck Style

I just had a look at my forecast for the upcoming year of the horse that begins next week. In Chinese astrology, I’m a wood snake born during an earth cow month on a wood cow day. My lucky element according to this site is fire because I’m lacking that element in my five elements chart. The prediction for the year based on my lucky element is quite optimistic:

“Fundamentally, 2026 will bring significant luck. The Fire of 2026 will bring more heat to support your Lucky Element of Fire. When you need helps, your mentors or dignitaries will always be available for you to provide you good advice. As long as Water is not around the Fire, you will have an excellent fortune in 2026.

Horse is in the Fire group. Fire Horse is a very strong Fire year. 2026 will be one of the best years of your life. Fire becomes active and strong in summer. Therefore, summer will be your best season.”

The prediction for someone born with wood as their “day master” is also very positive:

“Fire of 2026 is the child element of Wood. Fire is something out of your Wood. It’s your outlook, performance, speeches, and behaviors representing to the public. It’s a sign of relaxation and freedom without restriction. Therefore, your social life will make you a little bit busier. You will have many opportunities to show your talent. People will talk about you. More than likely, taking care of such a busy life will consume your energy when you have many activities with people.

If Fire is your Lucky Element, you will have a good mood, expression, and attitude when meeting people. You become popular in your peer group. You will earn good reputations from them. This could create money opportunities in the future.

Horse of 2026 contains mainly Fire. Fire is related to your children, outlook, words, and actions. You will feel free to happily express yourself in public. You have opportunities to show your talent to people. You will bring to build your reputation, which might bring you an extra fortune.

This is all very encouraging. While I am not the biggest fan of the daily horoscopes on this site, the yearly forecasts have been accurate in the past. In fact, last year’s predictions were uncanny. For that reason, I’m going to take this forecast to heart, especially this line from the second passage: “It’s a sign of relaxation and freedom without restriction.” I couldn’t think of a better way to describe how I’ve been feeling since I quit my full-time job last March. I want to carry that momentum into this new year to craft a future that is more synchronous with who I am.

I started slithering down this path during the year of the snake. I suppose it’s time to start galloping once the year of the horse arrives. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: 2026 is going to be my year!
