Star Struck Style

Today is my 60th birthday. I can barely believe that I’m as old as the old ladies in the photo I posted above, but I am.

On the bright side, I don’t feel old. I dealt with a few issues over the past couple of years that made me feel older, but those are a thing of the past. I’ve recovered from the injuries I suffered, and the stress-related health concerns that was dealing with last year around this time are behind me.

Anyway, today is a rather charmed day astrologically as the sun and Venus are conjoined mere minutes away from my natal sun. I was already feeling quite optimistic about my future, and then I read the delightful forecast for my year ahead on “Café Astrology.” The prediction for anyone born on January 6 reads as follows:

“Your birthday falls shortly after a Full Moon this year, suggesting a period ahead of communication and teaching. Others frequently turn to you for advice, and you are very willing to offer your help. It’s a strong year for publicity and any other endeavors that involve spreading the word. I’m already fixated on the part about my “attractiveness.” I’m always the first person to tell you how good I look for my age, and that isn’t going to stop anytime soon. I’m also thrilled to learn that the positivity I’m currently feeling is a theme in the upcoming year. Just the other day, someone at one of my jobs told me that the “energy” in the store changed when I came on shift. Considering how grouchy everyone was when I got there, I took that as a compliment.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to get out into the world to spread sunshine and positive vibes everywhere I go. I’m kidding, of course — I’m just not that guy. All the same, I wasn’t happy last year at this time and I took the steps necessary to be a happier person. Nothing would make me happier than continuing on that path throughout my sixties. If people notice the change, I guess that’s a good thing.
