Star Struck Style

The sun enters my third house early tomorrow morning. “Café Astrology” offers the following prediction for the transit:

“The Sun in this house turns your attention toward your immediate surroundings and increases your interaction with friends, neighbors, relatives and business associates — the people you deal with every day. It is a good time to look at how you handle these casual relationships that are so important for your life. Often we develop unfortunate little habits in communicating with these people, which undermine our effectiveness and our ability to communicate with them. In fact, clear communication should be one of the goals of this period. With the Sun in this house there is a temptation to pour out energy and take none in. But try to avoid this. Instead of always being the active agent in communication, be the passive one, too — in other words, listen!”

I don’t mind this forecast. I’m a third-house type with both my natal sun and my natal Mercury residing in my Placidus third house. I also don’t mind the idea of focusing on my “immediate surroundings.” I’ve got a lot on plate over the next month or so, which means that I’m not going to be in one place long enough to get sick of my surroundings.

However, I can be a bad listener because I if I don’t want to hear what someone is saying, I’ll just leave. I run the risk of doing that this time of year because of my busy schedule. Oh well!

I am looking forward to a change of focus and some variation in my routine. There are times that I crave the same old, same old, and there are times that I just can’t handle doing the same thing over and over again. Right now, I’m thrilled to be feeling “mutable” with Mars already transiting my third house and the sun about to join the red planet in that sector of my horoscope. Maybe I can redirect some of that changeable energy to my own habits and actually start listening to what other people are saying in the upcoming month.

On the other hand, I do love the sound of my own voice. I have an entire blog dedicated to talking to myself . . .
