Tomorrow’s Libra new moon in my first house reminds me that I am the sort of person who thrives upon feeling well-balanced. At the moment, things are a little out-of-whack in my life, but just a little. I could be spending more time exercising, but that’s likely to occur once I put my garden away for the winter over the next couple of weeks. I could be spending more time looking for a more-lucrative job, but that’s probably going to happen now that the retail business is settling into the new reality that was created when America reelected a tariff-loving nincompoop. I could also be spending more time attempting to write something that I could sell. I don’t know if I’m ever going to do that again, but stranger things have happened.
Anyway, this is a good time for me to strike a balance between all the disparate elements of my life that come together to make me happy. “Café Astrology” offers the following advice for this annual event:
“This New Moon placement is a powerful one — it’s a time to reinvent yourself in some personal way, such as with a new look or manner of expressing and presenting yourself. This is a personally busy time of year, when you feel energetic and enthusiastic. Think about how you present yourself to others, focus on changing personal habits in such a way as to improve your confidence in yourself, and concentrate on putting your best foot forward, as this is a time when you will get noticed and make a personal impression on others. However, factor in the importance of authenticity in your presentation of yourself. You do not have to, of course, reveal all of yourself to others, but the sign of Aries associated with the first house reminds us of the importance of acting on our impulses and believing in ourselves. This is a time when you can be brave and enjoy new experiences.”
Frankly, feeling “more energetic and enthusiastic” just happens when the weather cools down: I love this time of year! As far as reinventing myself, however, I don’t know if I really need to do that because I feel as I already have. Earlier this year, when I acknowledged that I hated what I was doing as far as my career was concerned, I put “my best foot forward” and took the steps necessary to become a happier person.
I’m doing well, but I can always do a little better. This Libra new moon is telling me that. I don’t need to make any major changes, but I can improve my prospects for the future by making several small “tweaks” to my behavior. I’m going to start by getting off this computer and preparing for whatever tomorrow holds. I’m feeling optimistic and eager to embrace this new phase of my life where I can “be brave and enjoy new experiences.”
Bring it on!
