I have an eventful week ahead of me. Both Mars and Mercury are making sextiles/trines to the axis on which my natal Pluto and Uranus form an opposition to my natal Chiron. In fact, the two transiting planets meet at a degree that is almost exactly sextile to the midpoint between my natal Pluto and Uranus conjunction (the planets are just over a degree apart in my horoscope). What’s more, just as Mercury and Mars move out of orb from that aspect, they’ll conjoin my natal Neptune in Scorpio.
I’m excited for the initial alignment between transiting Mars and my natal Pluto. My daily forecast on astro.com describes the aspect as follows:
“At this time you may have to strive very hard to get anywhere but if so, your goals when you do reach them will be more permanent and far reaching. If you are unclear about what you are doing in some area, this is a good time to look inside yourself to find out what you really want to do. You should not and probably cannot move until you are clear about your objectives. In examining yourself, you may discover hitherto unknown psychological forces that you can use to gain your ends. A considerable change in self-understanding may be one consequence of this influence. If you are at all clear about your purpose, this influence should assure you of success in any undertaking that you become involved in now. Proceed full steam ahead and do not worry. Just avoid stepping upon other people’s toes unnecessarily, because that can have dangerous consequences later on.”
I’m not too worried about “stepping upon other people’s toes” at the moment. However, the upcoming transits involving my natal Neptune have me concerned that I might be feeling a little delusional about any opportunities that may come my way next week. I sometimes allow my imagination to get the best of me when I’m anticipating a situation to work out in my favor. I’ll apply for a job and start making plans to rearrange my entire life around a new schedule before I’ve even been contacted for an interview. That’s a likely scenario for me to be involved in next week while the stars are lined up in this manner. I need to be sure not to get ahead of myself.
Still, I am quite cosmically-blessed at the moment, and I need to recognize that opportunities to change my life are all around me. I also need to understand that the timeline of these changes is going to be subject to the transits I discussed in the post I published yesterday. With Saturn returning to my fifth house, the idea of moving “full steam ahead” needs to be tempered with a heavy dose of reality. I don’t want to “fake it ’til I make it.” I’ve never been the sort of person who has embraced that philosophy, and I never will be.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go read the job postings . . .
