In a week from today, Mars will conjoin my ascendant.

I’ve had my eye on this alignment for quite some time. It happens a day after the kids go back to school in this part of the world. In the retail business, a seasonal shift occurs where retailers start to focus on the busiest time of the year. It coincides with a lot of companies reorganizing and making hiring decisions, so it bodes well for someone like me who is looking for more-gainful employment in retail.

“Café Astrology” offers an interpretation of the conjunction that confirms that the waiting game that I’ve been playing is something that was written in the stars:

“You have just emerged from a period in which you were less forthright or in which you were considering new plans but not quite ready to take action. Now, you are ready to go forward, push personal plans, or go after what you want. You are more direct, courageous, and initiating. If you are too hasty, this can be a time of a minor accident or some other slip-up. You are fired up, energetic, and in need of physical or competitive outlets.”

I’ll be happy to feel “fired up” because I already feel like the seasonal shift is affecting my way of thinking. I’m eager to initiate. I’m ready to take action. I just need to heed the warning about being “too hasty” because I feel as if I could get ahead of myself. My self-confidence is quite high at the moment, and I have the tendency to be overly optimistic when the stars appear to be on my side. Still, I’m convinced that a positive change is coming. By the middle of September, I should be moving in a new direction as far as my career is concerned.

Now I just need to wait. The universe is telling me that I don’t need to strike that match too early. I’d be a fool not to listen . . .
