The new moon in Virgo arrives late this evening or very early tomorrow morning in North America. As I have mentioned in a previous post, this is the first of two Virgo new moons that will occur over the next four weeks.
This first new moon will provide us all with the opportunity to turn the mirror of criticism onto ourselves. When the sun enters Virgo, our first impulse can be to identify and catalogue everything that we deem to be wrong in the world. By reversing that impulse and attempting to correct not only our own flaws, but also our own perception of those flaws, we provide ourselves with the opportunity to grow. I’m not recommending that we spend the next twenty-eight days composing lists of all the things we hate when we look in the mirror, but I am suggesting that we at least try to understand the root causes of our need to criticize others. Are we projecting our own insecurities onto the universe, or are we genuinely trying to improve the world around us?
Be honest with yourself before you make being honest with others your modus operandi this autumn. September’s new moon in opposition to Saturn and Neptune will be a lot less challenging if you put in the work right now.
