Big changes are on the horizon for me in the coming week. A shift in the weather will literally bring sunnier skies and drier days to my part of the world, and the temperatures that accompany this weather pattern will be more to my liking. At the same time, a shift in the stars will bring a much-needed change to my chart as the sun enters my eleventh house and Venus enters my tenth house.
My energy levels sort of wane in August when it’s hot outside, so I’m always thrilled when the mornings start to cool down. Also, summer is the rainy season where I live, but that typically changes right about now. I don’t have to make excuses about not being able to work in it. The balance to my daily routine that gardening provides me becomes evident once again as I spend a couple of hours every day in a meditative state: at one with nature, as the saying goes.
I can already feel the change coming. Mercury went direct in my tenth house a few days ago, and I’m starting to feel like I could be a little more disciplined with the way I spend my time again. With the new moon in the first degree of Virgo just days away, that sentiment may grow even stronger. Still, I need to be sure that I don’t become a slave to routine once again. At the moment, I’m doing a little of this and a little of that. I work a few hours at one job and a few hours at another. I spend some time working out at the gym, and then I spend some time working out at home. I do a couple of hours of housework, and then I relax in front of the TV for a couple more hours.
It’s a return to a lifestyle that I had years ago when I was more or less a happier person. I’m determined to stick to this less-regimented routine as long as I can because I don’t want to find myself in the same place that I was this past winter: stuck in a rut that seemed inescapable. At the moment, the stars seem to be cooperating with me: as one shift occurs in one house of my chart, another occurs somewhere else. Just as long as they remain spread out across the sky in this manner, I seem to be weathering the seasonal shifts of my own life much better.
And with that said, I need to get off this computer so that I can enjoy what’s left of the summer. See you next time.
