A couple of days ago, I published a post titled “Balancing Act” where I described how Mars’ transit through my twelfth house was making me feel. This morning, I was dumbstruck when I read over the what I had written:
“While I have been able to strike a better balance between work and play since I quit my full-time job, I’m still not using my free time as productively as I could. Nevertheless, the transition between working too much and not working enough seems to be getting easier every day. I’m no longer a slave to a routine that was literally making me feel like I was falling apart — both mentally and physically.”
The reason why I was surprised by what I had written was because I had just read this paragraph of the “Astrodienst” interpretation of Saturn’s current transit through my sixth house:
“Conserve your energies now in order to devote yourself more efficiently to whatever must be done. If you scatter or waste your energies, you will not have enough. And if you try to compensate with an extra burst of energy, your health may suffer. Treat your body as a tool that has to be well cared for in order to achieve its desired purpose. If you have health problems during this time, you should examine the way you handle your physical energies as a whole. Make whatever changes are necessary so that your lifestyle more accurately reflects your intrinsic reality. Both your body and mind must be in shape for the impending emergence of your energies into the outer world, where everyone can see them more clearly. That will happen shortly.”
I’m still in shock since I made the connection between the job I hated and the physical problems I was experiencing. I’m also in shock since I’ve discovered just how profound these sixth house/twelfth house transits can be when it comes to the relationship between physical health and mental health. With Mars and Saturn occupying these houses (and literally forming an opposition when this revelation came to me), I’m quite sure that I’ve discovered what might be one of my biggest vulnerabilities.
Whatever the case, I’m feeling good and looking good. Earlier this week, someone who has known me for more than thirty years told me that I should start a YouTube channel to discuss why I never seem to age. I not only see this mind/body connection manifesting itself in my demeanor, but also in my appearance.
This balancing act is paying off.
