The full moon hasn’t even arrived yet and I’m already looking forward to the upcoming new moon in Virgo on August 23. My chart is sort of in a holding pattern until the last week of the month, so I suppose that’s why I’m eager to see a change. “Café Astrology” describes the arrival of the new moon in the eleventh house as follows:

“The eleventh house is a sector associated with networking, making contact, group activities, and income earned from business. With the New Moon here, focus is on making contacts and reaching out to others in both a social and professional sense. It’s a time to turn inner restlessness into fruitful contact with others. Heightened awareness of your position in life within the context of the group, rather than through self-centered focus, is probable with this position of the New Moon, as well as a need for social security. Goals that involve networking, making connections with others, joining or strengthening ties in a group project/activity, and nurturing good will are the focus this month.”

I am experiencing some “inner restlessness” at the moment, but it’s nothing that I can’t handle. At the same time, I’m quite satisfied with my current situation and my urge to “go it alone” this August. It’s not uncommon for me to feel “above it all” when the sun is transiting my tenth house. However, “making connections with others” is likely to be a huge focus for me when Mars moves into my first house in the first week of September. Rather than making me bossy and argumentative, this transit is likely to make me confident that the dynamic aspects of my personality will make me appear more attractive in the eyes of others. With both the sun and Mercury in my eleventh house while Mars crosses over my ascendant, I should find it easy to make “fruitful contact” with others. The work I’ve put in to be a happier person over the last few months should become even more obvious this autumn.

How about them apples?
