Transiting Venus conjoined my natal moon late last night. Yesterday evening, when I was on the bus home from one of my jobs, I was sort of awestruck by the beauty of everything I saw. It had just rained where I live and everything looked lush and healthy. I was also feeling good about how I looked. It was nice to feel that way. With both Venus and the moon prominently-placed in my chart, and several other astrological factors that contribute to my decadent nature, times like these feed my soul. I went to bed feeling calm, peaceful and pleased with myself, like I was looking at everything around me through rose-colored glasses.
I feel good this morning, too. However, there is one thing missing that would make my current state of bliss a little more blissful: I feel like getting drunk. I haven’t been drunk in a long time.
I have a split of cheap champagne in the fridge. Maybe I’ll start with that when I get home from work tonight. I have a big bottle of sangria, too. I could mix them and make some sort of rosé cocktail. I actually have a liquor cabinet that is full of other spirits, including a whole bunch of stuff that I find to be quite repulsive. But I also have the other ingredients to make something delicious if I just start experimenting.
Perhaps that’s what I should do. I just wonder if this urge to see the world through rosé-colored glasses will still be as strong tonight as it is this morning. I guess I’ll find out soon enough . . .
