I’ve got a couple of interesting things happening simultaneously in my chart today. First, transiting Venus forms a conjunction with my natal moon in Cancer. That’s a fun aspect involving planets that are personalized in my horoscope. It should overrule the less favorable transit that happens shortly afterward: transiting Mars forming an opposition to my natal sun. I hope so! “Café Astrology” describes the former transit as follows:
“Your mood is especially romantic and sensual. Let it guide you, and you might just find yourself in a very fortunate situation. This energy is excellent for any behind-the-scenes or domestic activities. It’s an opportune time to make domestic purchases and to buy or wear new clothes for the first time. Beauty treatments are favored. This is a time when praise or compliments naturally come your way, when you receive friendly greetings, and when you might extend a hand to others you care about. Aiding someone financially or spiritually is bound to boost your own spirits.”
I’m going to wear something new to work at my retail job this afternoon. I’m looking good — well-rested, tanned and fit — so I might as well show off while the stars are on my side. I have a couple of options, but I think I’ll choose to wear this Zegna shirt I bought in a hideous neon yellow that reminds me of the eighties. That will satisfy the sentimental, Cancer-inspired urge to look back in order to move forward. I also have an Etro T-shirt in a tropical print that reminds me of the sixties that I haven’t worn yet. Choices!
Anyway, I’m going to do my best to enjoy myself while this sun/Mars opposition is perfecting. It’s a grouchy aspect, but with Mars recently moving into my twelfth house, I’ve resolved to stick my head in the sand for the next month. If something is bothering me, I’m just going to pretend that it doesn’t exist. It’s a self-preservation strategy that I need to adopt while current events have me on edge. The world is a fucked-up place right now for a lot of people, and I don’t need to contribute to their troubles by being a miserable, self-entitled jerk. I’m not an American, after all.
See you next time!
