Maison Margiela F/W 2025 (source: Wallpaper)

Yesterday, Glenn Martens made his debut at Maison Margiela, presenting his first Artisanal collection for the brand. If the reviews are any indication, Martens is home: he’s the right designer at the right label at the right time.

Of course, he’s a Taurus. In “Star Struck Style,” I assert that Taurus designers make the best employees, even when their names aren’t on the door of the boutiques that sell their wares.

This is the third major debut to take place over the past couple of weeks. A few more are yet to come, and I’m still trying to figure out the signs of some of the designers, including Michael Rider at Celine and Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta. I stumbled across an article where Willy Chavarria indicated that he is a Cancer, but I still don’t have a birthdate for the designer.

Anyway, I’m kind of excited to look at the “new guard” in fashion and to see where they all fit into my grand scheme of things. If anyone has any idea, I’d love to hear from you. I’m feeling inspired by fashion all of a sudden after a long period of fashion fatigue. I suppose that has more to do with the changes I’ve made to my own lifestyle since I quit the job that was driving me crazy. It’s easier to follow your passions when you don’t get out of bed dreading the day ahead.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some more shows to watch . . .
