I was just scrolling through the posts that I’ve published on or around this day since I started this blog. Apparently, I’m kind of a miserable, antisocial grouch during the first week of July.
I’ve attributed this phenomenon to a lot of different planetary influences over the years. However, the one constant in this scenario is the sun’s annual opposition to my natal sun. “Café Astrology” interprets the transit as follows:
“This is a time of the year when you are more likely to catch a cold or to feel under the weather, unappreciated, and generally ill at ease. Tensions with others can come from a lack of self-confidence or a sudden awareness of unfulfilled wishes and goals. You are unlikely to feel on top of your game now, so don’t push matters. Instead, take time for rest and relaxation. Review your goals and revise them if need be.”
I typically use a one-degree orb when interpreting a solar transit, but this one in particular seems to need a wider berth. There is about a week every July where I’m just not as “out there” as I usually am. I’m frustrated by my relationships with others, and I just want to be left alone. My previous blog posts have confirmed that for me.
I can understand why I would be grouchier as this transit wanes because the sun forms a square to my ascendant just two days after it opposes my natal sun. Yet the prelude to this annual event seems to be just as bad as the aftermath. The sun forms a trine with my natal Saturn right before this opposition occurs, but that transit shouldn’t make me grouchy. I could see it causing me to turn my nose up at other people since my superiority complex peaks when Saturn forms certain aspects in my horoscope. On the bright side, I’m not feeling “ill at ease” with myself. In fact, I’m enjoying my own company tremendously at the moment.
It’s not me, it’s you. I’m glad that I could clear that up!
