Bezos Wedding (source: CNN)
When I first started this blog, I wanted to create a place online where I could discuss celebrities, fashion and astrology: the topics I wrote about in “Star Struck Style.” Since that time, I’ve really strayed away from the celebrity focus, and I rarely discuss fashion anymore. I suppose that is because the world around me has changed so much. I feel as if the pendulum has swung far to the side where people equate personal style with wealth and fame. It’s vulgar and I don’t want any part of it.
Don’t get me wrong. I like money and the nice things that it buys. But I’m not going to do anything that makes me appear as if I worship the greediest people on earth. Last night, the US Senate passed the “Big Beautiful Bill” that will add trillions to the national debt of a country that has more than enough money to balance its budgets. But greedy fuckers like Jeff Bezos have bought the American government and the propaganda machine formerly known as the mainstream media. The idiots that voted for this unprecedented wealth transfer are going to get everything they deserve. I doubt that America will ever recover.
Anyway, I keep telling myself that I ought to get back into the habit of writing about celebrities and style, but I don’t believe that’s going to happen for a while. These people make me sick. I need to distance myself from them for my own well-being. So, if you come to this blog to discover me talking mostly about myself and whatever is going on in my own horoscope, hopefully you’ll understand why I’ve turned my back to the subjects that once inspired me. When the pendulum swings the other way and the world starts to value creativity more than money again, perhaps I’ll get back to my roots.
On the bright side, I see that happening over the next several years. The revolution is written in the stars . . .
