Hay (source: pexels.com)

I published a post a couple of days ago where I discussed how I would like to spend the next four months “making hay while the sun is shining.” This morning, I looked back to see what I had written because I’m feeling especially “connected” to my physical self. Here’s what I wrote:

“Anyway, I’m starting to feel as if I’m on the upswing again as far as my health is concerned. Curiously, Mercury just moved into my seventh house where it will conjoin Chiron later this evening. This alignment has me feeling ‘connected’ with my current state of well-being — as if I know exactly what I need to do to keep up the momentum I have initiated.”

My yoga class this morning felt almost revolutionary — as if I discovered the exact spots in my body that are inhibiting my progress. That’s interesting to me because Mercury entered Taurus this morning. “Café Astrology” describes the shift in the stars as follows:

“Mercury enters Taurus today, where it will transit until the 25th. Our thinking is down-to-earth, stable, and grounded during this cycle. Common sense reigns over fanciful thinking. We communicate more deliberately under this influence. While Mercury is in Taurus, we gravitate to tried and true methods. Attention to one thing at a time can simplify our lives during this cycle, but we should watch for stubborn or rigid thinking.”

I was not only more “grounded” in my physical body during my yoga practice, but my “attention to one thing at a time” was the reason that I am describing it as “revolutionary.” My thinking can be all over the place. I’m not exactly suffering from ADHD, but I do tend to multitask 24/7. This morning, the opposite was true. I was entirely focused on what I was doing in the moment.

That makes me happy because I’ve had a terrific week “making hay.” I sometimes make a declaration on this blog about turning over a new leaf or embarking on a new journey, and by the next day I have been distracted by some other shiny object. Not this time, though. I feel a sense of focus that might actually get me somewhere.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have more hay to make . . .
