This is a consequential time in my life for a few reasons, but mostly because of the two major shifts in my horoscope that are happening over the next several days. First, Saturn moves into my sixth house tomorrow. It conjoins the north node next Tuesday, and then the north node moves back into my fifth house the following Tuesday.
I discussed the ingress of the north node into my fifth house in a post titled “Joy” just a few days ago. However, I haven’t really delved into Saturn’s shift aside from acknowledging that it will return to my fifth house for about three months later this year. My daily horoscope on astro.com reminded me that tomorrow is the day that Saturn makes its move. The forecast reads as follows:
“This time can be compared to preparing for a debut. You have to put everything in order so that you will make the maximum impact. Consequently this is a time of very heavy responsibility and hard work. At times your responsibilities may seem overwhelming, and you may not feel equal to the challenge. If you are employed, you may find it difficult to live up to your employers’ demands, which can lead to difficulties on the job. This situation is made worse by your feeling that even if you did better, you would not be adequately recognized or compensated for your efforts. And you would probably be right, at least in the short run. But in the long run, if you can keep with it, the work will be beneficial.
Your effectiveness as a human being will be tested during this time. Therefore, you should try to get your performance into shape in many areas, especially work and professional matters. Later you will be in a more public position, where it will be harder to make necessary changes.
Conserve your energies now in order to devote yourself more efficiently to whatever must be done. If you scatter or waste your energies, you will not have enough. And if you try to compensate with an extra burst of energy, your health may suffer. Treat your body as a tool that has to be well cared for in order to achieve its desired purpose. If you have health problems during this time, you should examine the way you handle your physical energies as a whole. Make whatever changes are necessary so that your lifestyle more accurately reflects your intrinsic reality. Both your body and mind must be in shape for the impending emergence of your energies into the outer world, where everyone can see them more clearly. That will happen shortly.”
The strange thing about this prediction is that I’m already there. I quit my job because I felt as if I could not live up to the demands of my superiors, and I know that I was inadequately compensated. But even if I did try harder, that wouldn’t have made me happy with what I was doing. I wanted to return to a more organic way of living where I was satisfied mentally, physically and spiritually. I was tired of going through the motions. I was tired of feeling exhausted.
This advice is at odds with the upcoming nodal transit, and that is probably why I am getting conflicting messages about my future from these forecasts. My own resolution to slow down and wait until April 29 to make any major decisions was borne out my hesitancy to do anything else rash before these major changes arrived.
Nevertheless, I am still pleased with the changes I have made to my life. I still believe that there is something better out there for me, and I do believe that the universe is about to show me what it is. Even though this astro.com horoscope is advising me to prepare for my debut, I’ve been preparing for it all year long.
