It’s almost dandelion season where I live. In fact, I saw a single dandelion blooming at the gym last week: the first flower of spring! It was up against a wall in a partly-enclosed courtyard. Soon it will be joined by billions of its kind and the air will be filled with dandelion fluff.
Anyway, I was thinking about dandelions because I was thinking about making a wish for my future. I’m not sure if my new job is the right fit for me, but I’m hopeful that something better will come along. I’m in no hurry to do anything else because I’ve given myself until after the new moon at the end of the month to figure things out. Too much is going on in the sky for me to jump headfirst into something new. That includes Mercury’s return to Aries early this morning and its conjunction with Neptune late this evening. “Café Astrology” includes these words of advice regarding the alignment in its daily forecast:
“We should avoid allowing wishful thinking to dictate our choices, but tapping into our imagination can be rewarding.”
Making choices in general is not favored when these two planets meet, but that will be difficult to do while they both transit impulsive Aries. Delivering an ultimatum or making a snap decision over the next couple of days might be a bad idea because wishful thinking will pervade the universe. There is no guarantee that things won’t work out as planned, but there is also no guarantee that things will work out as planned. The urge to act upon our impulses will still be present this coming weekend when transiting Mars enters Leo and forms a trine with Neptune. However, this aspect will likely bring us back to a place we were early in the year, and our decisions may be informed by history. The “wishful thinking” that characterizes the Mercury/Neptune conjunction is more fickle than the desire to follow our dreams that will be emphasized by the Mars/Neptune trine.
Again, I’m going to be waiting until after the new moon before I make any decisions about my future because I’m not exactly sure what I want to do. In the meantime, I’m going to keep my eyes open for opportunities because I’ve got plenty of good things happening in my horoscope. I can be wishful without being impulsive and delusional. Also, who knows what is going to happen when Mars in Leo makes its first opposition to Pluto since the planet entered Aquarius in mid-November. Fate might have other plans for all of us. Only time will tell . . .
