The sun entered Aries this morning. That means that it also exited Pisces. While that seems like the normal progression for a planet to make through the zodiac, it’s quite the opposite in 2025. The other four planets that will enter Aries this year all will backtrack into Pisces due to their retrograde cycles.
Mercury and Venus are already retracing their steps. Neptune and Saturn are currently headed into Aries over the next few weeks, but both will turn retrograde and reenter Pisces later in the year. These transits over the Pisces/Aries cusp provide a theme over several months, and that theme is likely to be expressed in the form of false starts.
People are going to dive headfirst into projects, and then suddenly back off. They are going to be bold and energetic as they embrace the unknown, and then they are going shrink back into themselves at the first sign of conflict. It’s going to be annoying, especially as many of the individuals influenced by the current cosmic climate will simultaneously portray themselves as both the aggressor and the victim.
My advice to anyone who wants to remove themselves from this cycle of indecision is to avoid participating in competitions that you have no chance of winning. Jupiter’s ingress into Cancer this June will be a reality check, grounding many of us in that cardinal energy that only moves in one direction: forward. The vacillation between intention and indecision that will characterize the first half of the year will start to evaporate in the second half of the year as circumstances will compel us to keep our eyes on the future even as we romanticize the past.
Still, this cusp will be highlighted again next year throughout late winter and early spring. so it will be important for people who thrive on predictability to understand that the world is going to be unpredictable for the next several months. Don’t let it get to you. Control what you can control, and don’t let all the other false starts make you feel like you also need to jump the gun. Don’t disqualify yourself from the race with behavior that makes it difficult for anyone to perceive you as a serious contender ever again.
