I published a post a couple of weeks ago titled “Pricky” where I described Mars’ imminent station in Cancer that will have the planet sitting in a tight square to my ascendant. It’s not a favorable aspect for someone like me who is also experiencing several other planetary alignments that make me want to drop everything I’m doing and run screaming for the door every time I go to work. Still, I’m trying to keep these feelings to myself. This passage from “Café Astrology” describing the transit makes me wonder if others are seeing through the facade of indifference I’ve chosen to wear:
“You may rub others the wrong way now, as they sense your impatience or they feel that you’re not considering their needs. You might fumble when you go after what you want, as your confidence seems forced. You might feel irritable and tense under this influence. Restlessness and impatience are likely now.”
I hope that I’m not coming off as fake or giving off the impression that my confidence is faked. However, the sun just entered my fifth house this morning, so I do run the risk of letting my ego get in the way of my relationships with people who are already on my side. I’m going to need to watch my tendency to automatically default to defensive behavior when anyone questions me over the next few weeks. And I’m also going to need to be sure that I don’t make any snap decisions that could negatively affect my life. I’m about six weeks away from seeing some major shifts in the stars that should put me on a more positive career path.
In the meantime, I’m just going to have to pretend that I’ve got nothing to worry about. Like my spirit animal, the porcupine, no one needs to know how much damage I could inflict if I chose to do so. I’ll just keep to myself until the cosmic weather improves.
