Star Struck Style

Yesterday’s new moon symbolically ushered in the Year of Snake. It also ushered in a new era of fiscal responsibility for me as I was approved for a debt consolidation loan from my bank. I’m not drowning in debt, but I have credit products from four different lenders. I’m moving them all to a bank where I’ve been a client for a couple of decades. It’s going to be easier for me to adopt more fiscally-responsible habits this way, and I’m going to save some money because I finally swallowed my pride and went to talk to an expert about my debt load.

Astrologically speaking, this is an interesting day for me to sign the papers that will set this new era into motion. Uranus goes direct today. It’s still in my eighth house forming a nearly-exact sextile to my midheaven. Three days ago, I wrote the following passage about Mars’ conjunction with my midheaven:

“I suppose that having retrograde Mars conjunct my midheaven while almost exactly sextile Uranus is responsible for this sudden shift of focus onto self-realization. It’s interesting to note that when Mars makes its final contact with my midheaven at the start of April, Uranus will still be a factor in this equation as it is virtually stuck in the sky at the moment.”

Uranus only moves about ninety minutes between now and the start of April, so I can expect this theme of sudden self-realization to continue. I’m excited to see what else the Year of the Snake has in store for me because it’s been a long time since I’ve felt a shift in momentum like this. Why didn’t anyone ever tell me that finding someone to talk about my problems could help me?

I’m kidding, of course. Still, I am sort of amazed at how this alignment between retrograde Mars, my midheaven and stationary Uranus has played out in real time. It makes me believe that the universe might have a solution to my current career difficulties. I have been reluctant to look for a more rewarding job because of my financial situation. Suddenly, that is no longer my prime concern.

I’ve got a feeling that 2025 is going to be good for this snake . . .
