Something rather remarkable occurs this coming April when Venus, Saturn and the north node all meet up in Pisces right around the same time that the sun enters Taurus. It’s a interesting alignment, especially for someone like me with both Venus and Saturn personalized in my horoscope.
What really fascinates me about this upcoming astrological event is that it happens on either side of my fifth house/sixth house cusp (unlike the meeting of Venus and Saturn that just occurred in my fifth house). Saturn will overtake Venus in the sky in the first week of April before Venus goes direct. Saturn will then move into my sixth house on April 19 where it will form a conjunction with the north node on April 21. Venus will start to pick up some speed and move into my sixth house on April 24, just before the north node makes its backward move into my fifth house on April 29. What’s more, all of these conjunctions will occur at a degree that harmonizes with Uranus in Taurus, auguring positive changes.
I can expect some changes in my day-to-day life. I am at once someone who thrives on routine and someone who complains about getting stuck in a rut. The fifth house/sixth house cusp is a place where those competing forces will be highlighted. However, with the ruler of my sun, the ruler of my ascendant and the north node all involved (not to mention Uranus, another planet that is personalized in my chart), the universe could present me with a solution to my problems.
For the sake of practicality, I will focus on Saturn’s ingress into my sixth house when it occurs as it will be the longest-lasting of these upcoming events. “Café Astrology” offers the following prediction for the transit:
“Saturn turns his critical eye on matters of the sixth house, and you are likely to feel a certain level of pressure in the areas of work, daily functions, habits, and health. At the beginning of the transit of Saturn to the sixth house, you might find yourself more accountable than ever when it comes to your work.
You may initially feel bogged down by what seems like undue pressure in your routines. The key word here is ‘seems,’ simply because the nature of Saturn is such that the pressure it brings is never truly undue.
In fact, Saturn knows better than us, and it is, in reality, very much ‘due.’ Why? Because things we may have previously neglected or disregarded now come up for inspection.
How can we make the best use of our time? How can we manage our day-to-day lives and our bodies better? Saturn pressures enlighten us to the ‘fluff’ surrounding our daily routines and work, and spring cleaning is now in order.
It’s an excellent time to begin new regimens to better our health and well-being, such as regular exercise, more structured and productive use of our time, etc. In fact, life events may now pressure us to do so–or at least provide us with the motivation to get our act together. Traditionally, this transit was associated with health problems.
Generally, though, if health concerns manifest, they are ones that are manageable. They signal the need for change in diet, routines, and habits. By the end of the transit, you will likely have learned to be more productive, healthier, and considerably more focused.“
I am already a Saturnine/sixth-house character, so it’s not a challenge for me to follow advice of this nature. I’ve also got a decadent, Venusian side to my personality that sometimes gets me into trouble, but I really don’t make apologies for being able to enjoy the finer things in life. What is encouraging about this ingress (and the conjunctions that occur around the same time as it happens), is that I am very likely to feel like myself when it arrives. I can see other people having a romanticized version of what they should be doing when these planets meet up in Pisces. I will be compelled to clean up my act while others might be compelled to fly off on flights of fancy, perhaps vacating positions that I could step into. I see opportunity coming my way, and maybe even the chance to merge the Venusian and Saturnine sides of myself in a way that makes me feel like I’m living my life more authentically.
It’s an interesting forecast, and some good news when I could use some good news. And I’ve always enjoyed spring cleaning, anyway. Bring it on!
