A few weeks ago, in a post titled “The Fourth of July,” I wrote the following passage:

“Yesterday, I mentioned to my older sister that I wasn’t planning to visit Las Vegas again until well after Donald Trump’s inauguration. I’m worried about my own safety. I don’t believe that anyone has ever planned a fascist takeover of a county where there are literally more guns than people. Once the corrupt Kakistocracy Trump has assembled gets into power, the idiots that voted for him are going to enter the ‘fuck around and find out’ era that Pluto’s transit through Capricorn has promised them. What they do next scares the hell out of me.”

It’s only one day into 2025, and stories like this one and the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans are all over the news.

I made a wise decision to boycott America. The election hasn’t even been certified yet, and people are already going crazy south of the border. Sure, things like this happen all around the world, but that doesn’t ease my fears. I’m going to feel a lot safer sticking close to home for a while.

On that note, Venus entered my fifth house last night while I was in bed. I should go out . . .
