Star Struck Style

I was able to exercise some self control this Black Friday and I only bought one thing: this pair of Mephisto Pitt boots. I already own a similar pair, but I purchased those boots back in 2019. They are the best pair of boots I’ve ever owned. I’m still wearing them almost every day to walk to work. I’ll probably wear them for a while longer, too, but I’ve worn out the heel near the imbedded airbag and I’m quite sure that they are going to pop like a balloon any day now. The best part of this story is that they were on sale only because this color scheme has been discontinued. I got them for $199 instead of $545. What a deal, especially because I just about bought them at full price at the Mephisto store in Caesars Palace while visiting Las Vegas this past April.

I’m very pleased with myself that I didn’t buy anything else. With tonight’s new moon in my second house, this is a great time for me to focus upon reducing my debt load. The good news is that I have an extra payday in January, so over the next two months I can make some significant progress as I attempt to get my financial house in order.

On that note, Venus moves into my fourth house for the entire month of December tomorrow afternoon. My natal Venus resided in my fourth house, so it’s a comfortable position for me. It’s nice to have the planet there when the weather is cold because it makes me enjoy my time at home instead of climbing the walls. “Café Astrology” describes the transit as follows:

I’m encouraged that this event is not only coinciding with this new moon in my second house, but also with Saturn’s return to direct motion and its final conjunction with my natal Saturn. It’s unlikely that I will be impulse shopping for the next few weeks. Instead, I can take pleasure in what I already own. I can also enjoy those “simple pleasures” that make me so happy. I’m a sucker for plenty of decadent things that don’t cost me an arm and a leg, like fancy Italian soap, good incense, a nice glass of white wine and heavily-discounted, European-made footwear. In this upcoming phase, I need to enjoy those things instead of focusing on the things I don’t have.

The stars have lined up to make my life easier for the next several weeks. Things couldn’t have worked out better!
