Star Struck Style

Transiting Mercury conjoins my natal Neptune this afternoon. It’s probably a good day for me to avoid doing anything foolish because it’s easy to get caught up in flights of fancy. This is the sort of aspect that would have me dumping a pile of money into a slot machine, for instance, because I “know” that it’s about to hit. Been there, done that.

It’s lucky for me that this is a short-lived transit. I enjoy the flakiness and imaginative nature of this planetary alignment. It makes my mind wander into places it hasn’t been for some time. Just thinking about the transit a moment ago had me signing the Rolling Stones’ version of “Just My Imagination,” and that led me to the article linked above about the best album covers of all time, and that led me to my Apple Music account where I started to listen to some old songs that took my mind out of the upcoming American election for a while. It’s a pleasant aspect. However, it’s just as likely to lead my mind into places it doesn’t need to go.

So, with that in mind, I’m going to try to behave myself today and avoid taking any turns into territory that might get me into trouble. I don’t need my imagination running away with me when I’m trying so hard to stay on the straight and narrow, right?
