Star Struck Style

The sun enters Libra within the next hour.

The timing couldn’t be better. I’m ready for the return to normalcy that this ingress brings to my life. By the third week of September, all the craziness that typically characterizes my place of work seems to die down as people settle into a routine. In fact, after I conduct a quarterly meeting with my staff this evening, I don’t see anything out of the ordinary on my schedule for the next couple of weeks — and then I go on vacation!

Libra is my rising sign, so if I was the type of astrologer who used whole sign houses, this shift in the stars would portend the time of the year that I came into my own. I’m not quite there yet. In fact, the “retreat” that is associated with the sun transiting my Placidus twelfth house is what I’m looking forward to over the next three weeks. I need to take a step back and allow all my coworkers to run the show for a while. I can get back to by bossy ways after my trip to Vegas.

I have gone away at different times in the fall over the past few years, but I do believe that I’ve enjoyed myself the most during these twelfth-house junkets. I sometimes tell myself that I’m going to be luckier traveling while the sun is in my first house, but I really don’t have any evidence to back that up. I just feel more confident about my prospects once the sun enters that sector of my chart. On the other hand, I get the break I need — both mentally and physically — when I get away before the sun conjoins my ascendant.

Anyway, I’m not sure that I’ll always be able to stick to this schedule because I go away with friends who have schedules of their own, but I’m going to try to make late September/early October my usual vacation time in the future. The timing just seems so perfect with everything else that is going on in my life.
