I have a lot of good things going on in my horoscope right now. However, earlier in the week I had a day that wasn’t so good. I attributed that bump in the road to a few planetary transits. But after reading all the posts I’ve published on or around September 10 since I began this blog, I realize that the sun’s annual opposition to Chiron is affecting me more than I ever realized. It’s the one constant in this scenario that repeats every year, and its influence has been profound.
I visited the site “12andus” and I came across this particular line in the author’s interpretation of the transit:
“You may have to struggle to overcome insecurities and feelings of not being appreciated. You may feel that you are losing status now.”
As a status-conscious Capricorn, the idea that I may be “losing status” cuts me to the bone. I work hard to maintain my image of someone who is “above it all.” When my hard work is undermined by people who don’t work as hard as me, resulting in a wound to my status, I take it personally. I don’t know where this comes from because I’ve always been a hard worker, but there has to be something in my past that makes this such a sore spot for me. It would be wise for me to get to the bottom of why being undervalued sends me over the edge.
I’m going to pay attention to couple of times a year that the sun squares my natal Chiron. Perhaps those events can shed a little more light on this vulnerability in my character. In the meantime, I’m just going to move beyond it. Now that the transit is over, I’m back to my perch at the top of the mountain, feeling unbothered by all the creatures I see when I look down.
All is right in my universe again . . .
