Out of curiosity, I looked up why the sign of Virgo is associated with wheat. I guess that the toil of separating the wheat from the chaff is Virgo thing. Nothing good comes without hard work, right?
Anyway, the new moon arrived in Virgo yesterday just before I went to bed. This new moon occurred about a degree-and-a-half away from forming an opposition with my natal Saturn, meaning that the sun is about to oppose my natal Saturn tomorrow. That alignment only highlights the theme that this September has in store for me. “Astrodienst” provides the following interpretation for the annual event:
“This influence will present many opportunities for achievement. At this time you will be able to strengthen many areas of your life so that they can withstand adversity later. But you have to take control of this moment. Nothing will be given to you without some effort on your part. You will have to exercise considerable care and responsibility and pay attention to what others require of you and the commitments you have made to them. This is not a ‘lucky’ influence in the ordinary sense of the word, but it can be exceedingly fortunate for you, if you work hard to make it so.
Recognition by others, particularly persons in authority over you, may come now. At this time you have more patience and perseverance than usual. You are able to work in a disciplined and careful manner and make your work enduring. This is an excellent time to tackle difficult and demanding projects. Even your health is better than usual, but that does not mean that you should abuse it. Instead, you should be building up your strength. In the not-too-distant future you will need your good health, so don’t waste it now. This is a time of successful preparation for climaxes and periods of crisis to come. How well you are able to deal with the future depends largely upon what you do now.”
I should be grateful that these two occurrences go hand-in-hand. I feel as if I can put in the work right now. Still, I’d be happy if the other major alignment in my chart this week would provide me with a lucky break. Jupiter squares my natal Uranus on Thursday or Friday. That transit can bring all sorts of surprises.
Regardless of what happens, I’m eager to see what this new cycle brings. I’m actually feeling as if my health is better and that I’m building up my strength, as the prediction above indicates. Hopefully, I can use the power of this new moon to continue upon this path as I count down the days to my upcoming trip. I’d like to go to Las Vegas knowing that I’ve caught up on all my chores, and that I was able to behave myself for a few weeks. I want to earn my vacation.
Yes, the time has come for me to put in the work, but I can thank my lucky stars because they are going to make it easy for me to put in the work.
