Star Struck Style

I’m trying really hard to not to shop for nice things right now because I want to have lots of money saved up for my upcoming trip to Las Vegas. However, the sales this time of year are proving to be too alluring. I had half-a-dozen things on my shopping list as I waited for them to come on sale, and most of them were reduced to a price that made me unable to resist purchasing them. Take this Kenzo jean jacket, for example. I got it for 60% off. It was practically free!

Anyway, I actually dipped into my savings account to buy it. I figured that the sales aren’t that great in October, so I really don’t need to go shopping when I’m in Las Vegas. Instead, I can wear all my new stuff when I’m down there if the weather isn’t too hot.

There is an astrological component to my desire to be surrounded by beautiful things. The last time I wrote about this phenomenon, Venus was transiting my second house. This time it’s transiting my tenth house. Both sectors of my chart are associated with material things: the second house rules over possessions, and the tenth house rules over status. The funny thing about this jacket is that it is subtly branded. I usually don’t wear anything with logos, but I liked this jacket enough to look past the branding.

Hopefully, this is the last thing I’ll purchase for a while. Venus actually exits my tenth house this weekend. I would be happy if my focus turned to getting out and about in my beautiful new clothes. With my eleventh house coming into focus over the next few weeks, that might actually happen. I guess I’ll find out soon enough . . .
