Peter Baker (source: PBS)

Yesterday I posted about Mars’ opposition to my natal Neptune. I made sure that I mentioned that this transit would be affecting everyone in my generation, like Peter Baker of “The New York Times.” Baker is about eighteen months younger than me, but because Neptune moves so slowly, the planet is only seventeen minutes apart in our natal charts. That means that Peter Baker experienced the same transit yesterday.

Peter also had his byline on a story in the NYT entitled “Parkinson’s Expert Visited the White House Eight Times in Eight Months.” Of course, that story was published as a scurrilous attack on President Joe Biden’s physical and mental health. I state that with confidence because it the story was quickly refuted as it became clear that the Parkinson’s disease expert, Dr. Kevin Cannard, was visiting the White House as a consultant on Parkinson’s specifically and neurology in general. The White House doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, offered the following explanation:

“Prior to the pandemic, and following its end, [Cannard] has held regular Neurology clinics at the White House Medical Clinic in support of the thousands of active-duty members assigned in support of White House operations,” his letter reads. “Many military personnel experience neurological issues related to their service, and Dr. Canard regularly visits the WHMU as part of this General Neurology Practice.”

I guess Baker doesn’t pay attention to his horoscope on astro.com, because if he did he would have read this passage: “Be careful that people whom you have to deal with at this time represent themselves truthfully. Others will probably try to deceive you and if they do, the results could be even more discouraging. Don’t let your desire to have things your way cloud your ability to see what is really happening, especially with people. At the same time don’t become involved in any devious action yourself. You are not likely to be especially lucky at such schemes, and you may not want to face the consequences in the future.”

This was a shitty thing to do, but it was exactly what I was warning people born in my generation not to do when I published my post yesterday. I once respected Baker. Now I consider him almost a loathsome as my former employer, American Media’s David Pecker. This “Biden is old” bullshit is the “But her emails” of 2016 crap repackaged for a new election year. I doubt that Baker will face “consequences” for his lousy reporting, but it has become clear over the last several days — since Saturn turned retrograde in Pisces — that the American media is more concerned with making up the news than reporting it. “The New York Times” has become “The National Enquirer.”

Anyway, expect a lot more of this over the next few weeks as Mars continues to form the same aspect in the natal chart of more fifty-something reporters, followed by the forty-something reporters, and then the thirty-something reporters, etc. It’s going to happen to all of us. Just “don’t become involved in any devious action yourself,” as astro.com suggests. Otherwise, you’ll just look like another Peter Baker.

    • My post wasn’t about Biden’s age. It was about the deception involved in claiming that Parkinson’s experts were visiting the Whitehouse for personal reasons related to Biden’s age. That was a lie.
