My horoscope is rather interesting over the next couple of days. Mars opposes my natal Neptune this afternoon. That happens every couple of years, but it also happens to everyone in my generation simultaneously. My big takeaway from reading the interpretation of the alignment on astro.com comes from this passage:

“Be careful that people whom you have to deal with at this time represent themselves truthfully. Others will probably try to deceive you and if they do, the results could be even more discouraging. Don’t let your desire to have things your way cloud your ability to see what is really happening, especially with people.”

Combined with Neptune’s recent station in the final minutes of Pisces, there can be some unfounded paranoia in the air which will only exacerbate this forecast.

If that wasn’t enough to make me believe that the next few days will be challenging, Mercury opposes my natal Mars tomorrow morning. The same website describes this short-lived aspect as follows:

“Under this influence you feel like telling everyone you encounter exactly what you think of them, whether or not it is flattering. You are likely to be in a combative mood, which may cause other people to start a fight. Quite often this combativeness is well buried in your subconscious mind, and the only way you know it is there is because people seem to come out of the woodwork to start an argument. You may feel like the totally innocent victim of someone else’s aggressiveness, and it may appear that way to a neutral observer, but nevertheless you have been sending out hostile signals at a very subtle level. At this time it is better to be conscious of your feelings of aggression, hostility and resentment toward others than to try to ignore them. At least you will have some control over them.”

Yikes! I’m going to have to be on my best behavior, even if that means pasting a fake smile onto my face to avoid sending out the wrong signals.

It’s lucky for me that I’ve got Venus sitting pretty at the top of my chart right now. Even though there are some issues at work that I would be thrilled to get out into the open, now isn’t the right time to air my grievances. So, I’m going to try my best to get through the first half of the week looking like the smiley guy in the photo I posted above. This will all be over almost as soon as it started . . .
