The new moon in Gemini on Thursday occurs just a degree inside my ninth house and just a degree away from forming a trine with my Libra ascendant. It’s also just a few minutes away from forming a conjunction with Venus, the ruler of my ascendant.
This is good news for me! I should be able to revel in the opportunities that the universe will offer me over the next month. “Café Astrology” describes the annual event as follows:
“The ninth house rules our spirit to grow, explore, and expand beyond the ‘regular’ experiences in our lives. The New Moon here may bring some restlessness and dissatisfaction with regular routines. Make an effort to initiate new projects or activities that expand your mind, feed your spirit for adventure, and stretch your imagination. You may feel renewed by a new perspective on your life, something philosophical or spiritual that you read or learn, or an adventure that takes you away from the mundane routines in your life.”
What I really need to do to escape the “mundane routines” in my life is to not make any plans. I need to “fly by the seat of my pants,” as the saying goes as these planets align harmoniously in flighty Gemini. Throughout the month, transiting Saturn will also be forming an opposition with my natal Uranus: a generational aspect, but also an aspect that involves planets that are personalized in my horoscope. Just the other day, I published a post entitled “Break Free” where I resolved to take some more chances and “bring more originality” to my life.
I’m already feeling refreshed after taking a week off from work, and I’m not feeling particularly oppressed by external circumstances. In fact, I’m feeling light on my feet and eager to move into this month with a positive outlook.
Let’s see how long it lasts . . .
