The sun moves into Aries in a couple of days. While I might joke around on this blog about how different I am from most Aries individuals, we have far more similarities than differences. With my Capricorn sun, Cancer moon and Libra rising, I am a triple-threat of cardinality. The only thing I’m missing in that makeup is anything in the other cardinal sign: Aries. Nevertheless, cardinality is cardinality. I may not share my genetic makeup with these creatures, but sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between a ram and a goat like me.

The reason I was thinking about the sign of Aries is that a stellium is about to form in the sign. On April 8, the sun, the moon, the north node, Mercury, Venus and Chiron will all be in Aries. While it’s not unusual for the planets closest to the sun to crowd together occasionally, I don’t recall the last time that I’ve had this much action occurring near my descendant. The new moon occurs just a couple of degrees inside my seventh house, and just a couple of degrees away from Chiron. Both Venus and the north node will be in my sixth house, and the north node will be almost exactly square to my natal sun.

This interests me because everything else in my horoscope is pointing toward some structural changes in my workplace. I’m going to be in Las Vegas when the new arrives, but I am expecting big things to happen once I get back.

I do wonder if the opportunities that arise will be something that interests me. I’ve got a few planetary alignments that could have me grabbing the sheep by the horns, and a few others that could make me reluctant to act. Thankfully, my cardinal makeup allows me to make those decisions instinctively. I rarely stray from the flock, but when I do, I don’t often regret my decisions.

Others might be a little too impulsive when the new moon arrives But with Mars, Saturn and Neptune in wishy washy Pisces, and Jupiter and Uranus in laidback Taurus, that sort of behavior will be short-lived. It will be a reminder to me and anyone else with strong cardinality in their charts to seize the day, and the day after that, and the day after that, etc. For a brief period this spring, moving headfirst into a better future will possible for those who lead rather than follow.
