The weather where I live took a turn for the worse a couple of weeks ago. The winter was mostly mild, except for a couple of brief cold spells, including this one that is supposed to end in a week just as Venus is about to enter my fifth house.
This is a fun transit, and a good transit to occur just as spring is about to arrive in this part of the world. The cabin fever I develop after being stuck inside for a few months can be profound, especially when the weather hasn’t been so mild. Nevertheless, I’m ready to get out and about, and my horoscope will be encouraging me to do exactly that. Here is what “Café Astrology” has to say about the three-week transit:
“This is an expressive period for the goddess of love! It’s natural for you to turn on the charm without even lifting a finger. You are especially attracted to aesthetic forms of recreation. You feel a little more playful now, and love matters tend to be laced with a touch of drama. That shouldn’t be a problem — in fact, you kind of like it that way for the time being. More loving and appreciative relationships with your children may also figure now. Your powers of attraction skyrocket during this cycle. Yet, you are not aggressive in your approach to love. Instead, you attract more if you allow yourself to be pursued during this cycle. Creative self-expression of any kind is favored at this time. At this time, you instinctively know how to place yourself in the best light in order to make a good impression on others. Any love affair begun now will be characterized by good cheer, having fun, and a fair share of emotional drama!”
I’ll be happy to place myself “in the best light” while the ruler of my ascendant is transiting this part of my chart. Venus will also conjoin both my natal Saturn and my natal Chiron before month’s end, softening some rather hard aspects that will be occurring simultaneously. For every bad thing that might be happening in my horoscope lately, there is something good going on to provide a counterpoint to those negative aspects. For someone who is on the cusp of their second Saturn return, I’m feeling remarkably confident and optimistic about my future.
Anyway, Venus doesn’t make its move for another week, and I’m still stuck inside my house until the weather warms up. In the meantime, I’m going to make the most of the planet’s final few days in my fourth house. Spring might be a couple of weeks away, but it’s not too early to start spring cleaning while the stars are shining on my dusty floors . . .
